The season two finale of October Road holds a special place in my heart. It wasn't the best finale I've ever seen. The show had the potential to be great, but it kept shooting itself in the foot. The story of Nick, a guy who moves back to his home town after a ten year hiatus, was something I could relate to. However, I couldn't relate to the weird characters in his home town. Instead of pushing the story forward, the writers often chose to bring it to an annoying halt by throwing in tidbits of Physical Phil's weird life and his dealings with Pizza Girl.
