Spices of Life

{ Living Life by Ear }

As a woman who lives alone, I definitely understand that a certain level of precaution should be exercised when it comes to safety. There are too many cases of crimes with female victims. These crimes are more likely to occur if a man knows that a woman lives in the home by herself. This can also lead to more crimes as well.

Call me paranoid, but I see too much of it in the news. That is why I had a home security camera system installed. I am a strong advocate for the added protections they offer. The police and a number of other response personnel can be notified immediately of a break-in, and they can automatically send help. The sound of an alarm is a deterrent as well.

If a person were to break into my home and hear the beep of the alarm that they know is about to sound, they probably will leave quickly. This would allow enough time for me to properly hide myself and lock myself into a room. From there, I could call the police or wait for them to come on their own as a result of the alarm being triggered. Having this protection installed in my home makes me feel much safer as a woman who lives alone.
