Jessica Lunsford, is a 9 year old girl who was raped, buried alive in two plastic garbage bags with her hands tied with speaker wire in 2005. Her body was found buried about 150 yards from her house in Homosassa, 60 miles north of Tampa, Florida.

Her abductor, John Couey who was convicted for kidnapping and raping Jessica was reportedly died of natural causes this Wednesday after being taken from prison to a Florida hospital.

John Evander Couey allegedly confessed that he abducted, raped and murdered Jessica Lunsford and buried her in the yard of his half sister’s house. He put her in his closet and ordered her to stay there, which she did as he reported for work at "Billy's Truck Lot".

John Couey’s criminal records include carrying a concealed weapon, 24 burglaries and indecent exposure and disorderly conduct. He was held without bail in the Citrus County, Florida and charged with capital murder.

Sex offenders are cockroaches that need to be eradicated; they prey on innocent children and should be facing more stringent penalties.
