People who are familiar with Borscht recipes, they all have one general knowledge about it - beets. Regardless it is Ukrainian, Polish or Russian borscht, hot or cold , vegetarian or beef borscht but there' one thing that anyone could vouch - borscht is one scrumptious soup if you made it the right way.

I guess you already have an idea what a Borscht soup looks like because the main ingredient is the beetroot and it surely gives a strong red color on the soup. It also includes garlic, onions and some vegetables such as celery and carrots. In order to create a more distinctive soup with a smoky taste on it, you can add some bacon on it.

It is indeed one hearty soup that can be eaten as a meal couple with thick dark bread.
