The last time we went to Taipei to see my family, we didn't bring too much luggage with us unlike before when we often used to travel overseas. The main reason was, I brought my little guy with me and all I thought that it would be inconvenient to bring a lot of stuff , so I decided to bring two luggage.
However from our last trip, I detected a broken zip and dents on my luggage. I guess it was because of the handling process while claiming our luggage at the airport. I am suchlike other travelers who would normally don't feel like having fully arrived at the destination until the luggage would show up. Besides, once our suitcases are being unloaded from the carousel, I never thought of inspecting our luggage before departing the airport.
That is the reason I never realized that my luggage got nicks and dents from handling. They said I can go ahead to the airline's lost and claim area at the airport but I dont want to bother anymore because all I wanted to do is to go home and relax from the comfort of our home.
And since summer is just around the corner, we are considering to push through our plans in going for a much needed vacation in Florida. Which means, I need to replace the luggage that we have till now. They are still usable though but the thoughts of seeing the tears and dents made me decide to look for some durable luggage we can use for the coming trip.
So I tried scouring the web and stumbled these super light Briggs and Riley luggage as well as the Tumi luggage which I believe an ideal size for overnight or for a brief weekend trip. Still not contented, I kept searching for another bag that is soft-sided yet strong material like the hartmann luggage with ballistic nylon. I guess they are more likely flexible and durable too.
Anyway, I am making up my mind for the suitcases that have an expansion feature to give more added room inside in case I need it. For the reason that this is absolutely great for trips since I know we will be buying lots of gifts during our travel.

Sometimes it does get frustrating when you get your luggage from the carousel and its all dented and scratched. I just bought a new luggage for a recent trip and when I got home it looked like it was overused already from all the torture! An expandable luggage is a wise choice, since you'll have extra space to put your gifts and other souvenirs. Hope you enjoy the summer trip!
