Have you heard about Sexting? At first I was clueless what it's all about, after further researched I found the real meaning of this word. SEXTING is what the word came from when kids as young as 11 or 12 are taking compromising photos of themselves and sending those shimmering pixels over their phones and computers.
Shocking isnt it? I heard more than a few incidents have made the nightly news. Sexting is in fact a very big deal. Not because sexual curiosity and boundary pushing aren't normal part of growing up.. actually they are. The thing is , on the internet nothing ever truly vanishes. It is possible that those photos will be sent to everyone she knows (and doesnt know), and later on will turn up as her first Google hit when she's looking for a job or just maybe will land her on jail.
The question here is, why would the kids take this kind of risk? As they said, teenagers are not exactly known for their great judgement. They are impulsive and they are play acting. Generally, there's not a lot of thought before hitting the send button. I guess, its the distance that makes a kid feel both bolder and safer.
Could it be that Sexting and Internet porn are substitutes for sexual acting- out in real life? There are many ways teens can damage themselves and the Internet being the most dangerous of all. I believer most parents should have a responsibility to know what their children are doing on it.

Hey,didn't know there is such. This is really alarming if teeners aren't guided the right way!
Enjoy Moms' Day, Umma!
On the other hand, it could be more like the violent video games, which study after study have shown decreases the tendency toward ACTUAL violence, because the kids get to act it out without acting on it.
